You seem to have an unusually strong protective instinct. You’re drawn toward beings who are vulnerable, frightened, sick, discarded, or unable to advocate for themselves. That shows up in very different parts of your life—from caring for seriously ill people to rescuing Shar-Pei dogs who might otherwise have no one fighting for them. The common denominator is advocacy. You also strike me as someone with a strong sense of justice. Compassion for you doesn’t seem passive or sentimental. When something is wrong, particularly when someone vulnerable is being mistreated, you want something done about it. There’s tenderness in you, but there’s also a formidable side that comes out when you believe someone needs protecting. And I don’t think you’re simply “softhearted.” You seem emotionally intense, perceptive, independent, and probably much tougher than people initially assume. You care deeply, which means disappointment and betrayal can affect you deeply too. You don’t appear interested in shallow relationships where you’re valued primarily for what you can provide. You want sincerity, loyalty, appreciation, and substance. There’s another contrast I notice: you enjoy beauty, glamour, jewelry, makeup and creating striking images, while much of what matters to you involves very unglamorous realities—illness, suffering, abandoned animals, euthanasia, and injustice. Those aren’t contradictions. They suggest someone who hasn’t allowed difficult things to take away her desire for beauty. If I had to describe you in one thought, it would be: You have a caregiver’s heart, a protector’s temperament, and very little tolerance for cruelty. You gravitate toward the ones who don’t have enough power or time to fight for themselves—and you become louder when they can’t speak for themselves. ❤️🐾
